Ministry in the Mountains!

To all my friends working in schools, happy summer! Erin just had her last day at the elementary school this past Friday, and I know she certainly needs a break.

Even though our semester ended a few weeks ago, God's still been moving in our community! We had our annual student leadership / campus ministry conference (SICM) and our 4 SMU students Miles, Jessica, Michelle, and Ruth, had an extremely meaningful time. I've got lots of pics to share from it!

Our host, Bob! He housed Miles and me all week, fed us, and took us to the mountains between Mt. Shuksan and Mt. Baker!
We had a great time getting to know him and hearing his many stories. He also exemplified a wisdom and love of God which I hope to have when I'm his age.

Much to my (and Erin's) surprise, we got stuck in Las Vegas overnight on our return flight home! We may have gotten to see cool buildings on the Strip, but it was not worth the 3-hour night of sleep!



There you have it! SICM was a great success. Our students had an incredibly fun time and walked away inspired to minister to their peers and share the good news of Jesus to their fellow college students in DFW!

Please be praying for our ministers as we enter support raising season! It's always a very fulfilling and meaningful time watching God provide for us but it can also cause a lot of stress across the staff team. 

We are 80% of the way to our goal, which translates to 8 more supporters if they gave an average of $100/mo.! If you would be willing, please spend a moment praying about anyone in your life who may be excited to hear about what God's been doing on the college campus. I'd love to reach out to them and share some stories!

Thank you again so much for praying for this ministry, and for your financial generosity. Lord willing, I'll do this for many more years and it wouldn't be possible without this support team!

Summer FOCUS

It's been a slower month on the ministry front. We've got a few new students transferring into SMU this fall who have already gotten connected. Besides that, most of my time has been spent raising support, meeting our local SMU students, and getting acclimated to being a father. Summer FOCUS We've still been having a weekly fellowship night, and it's been great! This is the ad we put up around SMU for Summer term students to see We've had a great turnout from our campuses around DFW! She's here!

Hi everyone, As expected, May was a very eventful month. We wrapped our final programming at SMU for the semester, sent off 100+ students from Dallas/Fort-Worth to SICM, and most importantly, Audrey was born! Eclipse

Hey everyone! I hope you enjoyed my very creative and original title to this month's update. I'm excited to share some of the final things we've done this semester before students embark on finals week and start their summer breaks. While they've all been slowing down, God certainly hasn't! The Eclipse I hope you get to enjoy the eclipse last month! Whether you saw it in person or not, enjoy some pictures of SMU Focus watching it together alongside thousands of other students on campus.
