Post-Operative Ministry

Hi everyone! I hope you're enjoying the start of the holiday season! I know it's been especially sweet so far for my Rangers fans. 👀 I've got my fingers crossed for tonight!! (No shade to my Astros and Arizona friends)

Surgery & Recovery

Speaking of the Rangers, I myself have also been out with injury. I had a procedure done a few weeks ago that was meant to be a 1-week recovery but has turned into a 3.5-week recovery. God is good though! He's brought Erin and me a lot of comfort during the difficult moments through friends and family members coming and spending time with us, and even buying us meals and cleaning our home! We are very grateful for the people the Lord has blessed us with over the years.

Enjoy some post-op anesthesia

Ministry, naturally, has looked very different this month but by God's grace, I've still gotten to keep up my regular meetings with students over the phone, and they streamed me in to our small group via FaceTime. It's felt eerily similar to 2020.

Luckily I was able to safely drive back to SMU's campus for the first time this past Monday, so things are starting to look normal again while I finish up my recovery on the go over the next month, Lord willing.

Keep Focus Growing (KFG)

For those of you who have supported and/or kept up with Focus's ministry in past years, you may remember KFG! This is Focus's annual fundraiser that allows us to support our admin team, and host events for students since college students don't quite have the means to maintain the ministry as a regular church might. (lol)

If you would like to help out, we will be making the big push at the end of this month on Giving Tuesday, because there will be an opportunity for those gifts to be matched!

Speaking of gifts, thank you all so much for your continued support and prayer. Similar to the comfort Erin and I felt when friends showed up during recovery, I feel highly supported by you all. I thank you not only on my own behalf, but on behalf of all the SMU students you are helping to find a loving community and above all, Jesus.

Your brother,
Taylor
